If you haven’t heard of Kerser yet we highly suggest you get to know him, considering he is quickly becoming the next best thing in the Australian hip hop scene. Hailing from Campbeltown in Sydney, Kerser released his debut album The Nebuliser last October and is about to tour the record this coming May, playing a Sydney show at The Metro on May 12. Kerser recently versed 360 in a sold out rap battle, and has received over 1.2 million hits on Youtube. Next best thing? You be the judge!

Kentucky’s southern rock act My Morning Jacket will be heading two Australia next month, playing two Sydney shows this April, one at the Enmore Theatre April 3rd and one at Byron Bay’s iconic Bluesfest. The five piece will be playing songs from their impressive back catalogue including this year’s acclaimed release ‘Circuital’. My Morning Jacket have not been on Australian shores since their Big Day Out slot in 2009. Wouldn’t be missing this one!

Indent and APRA  just awarded Australian pop punk act Tonight Alive with All Ages Band Supporter Award in the 2012 ISAAC Awards due to their incredible contribution to the Indent Regional Tour in November 2011. Now we are even more pleased to announce that after finishing up their Soundwave Festival stint, Tonight Alive will jump back on the road for their ‘There’s No Place Like Home‘ Australian tour this May and June, 2012. Their tour they will see them play in Sydney, Wagga Wagga and Newcastle before flying back out to the US for their Warped Tour. Tickets are on sale now so get in there!

The Jezabels will be on an extensive international tour before returning back home in June 2012. Whilst on their tour they will be releasing their debut EP Prisoner in the US, UK, Asia, Canada and Europe. The Jezabels have risen to incredible success in the last couple of years-they have been ARIA and APRA Award nominees, played big name festivals such as Falls Festival and Big Day Out, taken out Album of the Year at the 2011 Rolling Stones Awards, secured a number 10 position in the triple j 100 and currently nominated for an AMP award, which will get announced tomorrow! They will be supported by Canadian electro rock act Lights and Melbourne’s triple J Unearthed winners Snakadaktal.

Hip hop fans around the country can start getting excited now that Come Together have announced they are returning in 2012! They return with a bang too with a killer lineup featuring some of the best hip hop talent in Australia. The festival kicks off on Saturday June 9 at the Big Top Luna Park  and after 8 years in the running Come Together is surely going to get the party started one again.
