After 3 years British electronic dance producer Fatboy Slim aka Norman Cook has finally returned to Sydney, playing a Future Music Festival sideshow at The Enmore on March 8. A pioneer of the big beat genre that dominated the 90s, Fatboy Slim has won ten MTV Video Awards and brought us classic and nostalgic 90s dance tracks such as Weapon of Choice, Praise You and The Rockafellar Skank. Fatboy Slim will be joined by one of our countries best DJs AJAX.

The Rapture

New York-based indie trio The Rapture will be bringing their dance punk grooves to The Metro on Thursday March 8 to celebrate the release of their latest record In the Grace of your Love. Considered to be the pioneers of post-punk revival in the 2000′s the band fuses together post-punk, acid house, electronica and rock, ensuring they’ll get everyone’s feet moving.

If you can’t make it to Future Music Festival, be sure to catch The Rapture at this intimate sideshow. They will be supported by Canadian disco 4 piece Azari and III.

Welsh rock group Lost Prophets will be playing at The Metro on Tuesday February 28, touring on the back of their most recent release The Betrayed. Since 1997 the group has released four studio albums, with their singles Last Train Home and Rooftops reaching in the top ten hits on the UK Singles Chart. Having sold around 5 million albums worldwide, the group are ready to travel down under to bring us an explosive rock show, supported by Kids in Glass Houses and Versa Emerge.

South Californian 4-piece rock act System of a Down will be playing a sideshow on February 28 at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on top of headlining the highly anticipated Soundwave Festival. Since 1994 SOAD have released five studio albums, had four Grammy nominations. The group went on a break between 2006 and 2010, returning with a bang last year by hitting the European festival circuit. Now they’re coming back down under to impress us with their insane and wonderfully chaotic live show.

Canadian singer-songwriter and member of indie-rock group Broken Social Scene, Leslie Feist will be performing at The Enmore February 7.

Having avoided the global spotlight for the last few years, Feist fan’s are getting excited as they await her much awaited return to Australia following the release of her new album, Metals. The new album contributes to Feist’s stella discography, following past releases such as The Reminder and Let it Die.

Considered to be one of the world’s greatest party acts, Girl Talk is embarking on an Australian Summer Tour. Playing on the Big Day Out stage next Thursday, as well as an all ages Sydney show at The Enmore, January 25. Infamous for this speed sampling, Girl Talk (Gregg Gillis) arrives on our shores from Pittsburg USA, cramming as many party grooves into every moment.
