Red Bull Bedroom Jam Competition
Red Bull Bedroom Jam encourages young people to pick up instruments, perform, and realise their musical potential. The cream of the artists who enter get the chance to stream a live performance from their bedroom to the world, play a Backyard Jam with a massive Aussie band, and record at Red Bull’s studios in LA. Any Australian band can enter as long as all members are between 14-19yrs old.

How Does Red Bull Bedroom Jam Work? Red Bull Bedroom Jam is made up of three awesome stages: 1. The Bedroom Jam Live Webcast Stage This is the first stage. There will be three Bedroom Jam live webcasts, each at the end of a four-week period. The band at the top of the Buzz Chart will be confirmed to play a Red Bull Bedroom Jam Webcasts. We’ll call the band at 5pm on the selection day to confirm they’re available. If they’re not, they lose their place, and it goes to the band in the second spot. For more details on this, the dates and times of winner selection and the webcast click here. IMPORTANT: To be eligible to be considered for a live webcast you MUST submit at least one video of your band performing one of your songs. The announcement of each of the Bedroom Jam live webcast will be made on theRBBJ website at approximately 6:30pm on the selection day. The band will then play a Live Show the following Friday afternoon at 5pm, live from their bedroom! 2. The Bedroom To Backyard Jam Stage Each band that plays a Bedroom Jam live webcast is taken off the Buzz Chart and added to the Backyard Jam Buzz Chart which will go live on Monday 22nd of November. This chart works in exactly the same way as the Buzz Chart measuring the hype, talk and activity around your band. On Friday 3rd December the band at the top of the Backyard Jam Buzz Chart will be confirmed to host a legendary Aussie band in their backyard on Saturday 11th December. The winner of the Backyard Jam will have the hometown advantage but the other two bands from the Backyard Jam Buzz Chart will join them and play at the gig with a legendary Aussie band. 3. The LA Studio Stage Following the Bedroom To Back Yard Jam, an industry panel will judge a final winner based on criteria including song recordings, social network presence and live performances at Bedroom Jam live webcasts and the Bedroom To Backyard Jam gig. The winner from this decision will go to the pimping Red Bull Los Angeles recording studios (www.redbullstudiousa.com/) for a 9 day recording trip worth over $80,000.00!!!!!!! Bands that have recorded at the Red Bull Studio LA include Anthrax, NaS, Erykah Badu and Jamie Fox. The engineer looking after the winning band will be Eric Stenman whose credits include: Dashboard Confessional, Saves the Day, Hello Goodbye, and Good Charlotte. The winning band will be announced on the RBBJ website at 5pm on Monday 13th December and will be travelling to LA in January depending on availabilities. Check back here for more details, and terms and conditions.

The anonymous and free support website offers skill development by working with health professionals to strengthen the pathways between online and community based service delivery. 10% (excluding GST) of the cost of each ticket sold is donated to further this cause making each person attending the Take Action Tour an active participant in making the world a better place.

The tour’s headliners Attack Attack!, hailing from central Ohio, have gone from strength to strength since the release of their debut full-length, Someday Came Suddenly. After the breakout success of their Equal Vision backed debut A Flair For The Dramatic, the forward-thinking quartet racked up some serious miles in the van with everyone from Bring Me The Horizon and The Devil Wears Prada to Four Year Strong and Mayday Parade, while still finding the time to write their smashing new album, Selfish Machines. Joining these US acts on the road will be Melbourne newcomers Dream On, Dreamer, who recently released their debut EP Hope through Boomtown Records. Take Action Tour Australia 2009, spearheaded by the chart-topping All Time Low and pop-punk sensations Set Your Goals raised over $17,000 for the youth suicide prevention team at ReachOut.com, an achievement that is set to repeat itself off the back of this year’s eclectic line-up.
