The Last Exposure are a four piece alternative rock band from Sydney who believe in equality and making things bigger and louder. Members Chelsea Barnes, Hayley Curran, Nathan McCulloch and Jake Doran met and formed whilst studying their music degrees at JMC Academy in Sydney. They are currently trying to find themselves a pedestal, through working on their music and message to connect with their audience. Wanting to shock audiences with their big sound and their even bigger personality, they aim to inspire people with their passion. Believing in their hard work, with a whole lot of heart and dedication, The Last Exposure know the dream can become reality. We caught up with group member Chelsea Barnes for a chat to see how the group are travelling.

In Motion are a three-piece alt-rock band fresh out of Newcastle/Port Stephens who formed in early 2014. In Motion consist of Jack Davis (drums + vox), Daniel Ennis (guitar + vox) and Lachlan Fisher (bass + lead vox). The three boys love writing music, but they especially love to play live, known for their energetic shows. Their music reflects influences from bands like Sticky Fingers, RHCP and Powderfinger and the end result is a loud, riff heavy sound that sits deep in the pockets of the rhythm section with a powerful vocal to match. In Motion have played many youth events and band competitions. Most notably, they won YOUTHROCK 2015, a state wide comp featuring 29 semi finalists and 9 finalists. In Motion have plans to put out an E.P late 2015/early 2016 which will be their first release.

Cheviot is the musical brainchild of friendly neighbours Matt and Sam. After years of collaboration in make-shift music spaces around their homes, they’ve decided it’s time to finally out themselves as a serious musical act, producing a wide-gamut of fresh sounds from alt. rock to synth pop. Cheviot also happens to be the name of a quiet tree lined street in the Inner West suburb of Ashbury, where these boys spent much of their shambolic youth. In the beginning, their music was a way of breaking from middle suburban monotony. Our Education Officer (and Bluejuice member) Jake Stone caught up with the duo to chat to them about their sound, their friendship and the all ages scene in Sydney.
