As part of the Australian Government’s Community Level Initiative of the National Binge Drinking Strategy, the Australian National Preventive Health Agency (ANPHA) is offering $10 million over two years for a third round of grants in order to educate and inspire young people to take bigger responsibility for their behaviour.
It’s Voxies time of the year again, the annual Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) Awards are distributed amongst those who have demonstrated excellence in community radio. The awards recognise the achievements of stations and their volunteers, both on and off-air.
Big Day out has finally it’s 20th year! The first BDO in Sydney in 1991 announced only 2 acts and sold only 52 tickets the first day. Last year they announced 41 acts and sold 52,000 tickets in an hour. Times are most certainly a changin’ for the BDO team, and to celebrate their 20th year of being Australia’s most iconic festival, they are producing a killer line-up once again.
