A new under 18s music festival has just been announced called Breakout Festival, promising a killer line-up of dance and urban artists to be showcased across multiple stages.
The festival will occur in two states, firstly at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Friday November 25th, followed by Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion and Byron Kennedy Hall on Friday December 2nd.
Triple j and ABC Radio have announced that they will be launching a second station: Triple j Unearthed. The new station will launch on October 5, and will be dedicated to broadcasting only Australian unsigned and independent artists.
They will be dipping into their pool of over 30, 000 artists and 250, 000 registered users. The station will be to be heard on digital radio and online, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth and via triplejunearthed.com.
The Enmore theatre will continue to pump out some great all ages gigs next month with Australia’s iconic rock trio The Living End playing Saturday September 3. The Aria chart toppers will be supported by Ballarat’s garage punk party starters Hunting Grounds and King Cannons.
