The inaugural Breakout Under 18s Music Festival is about to be unleashed in Sydney. Breakout will be bringing Australia’s youth some of the world’s biggest names in dance and urban music.
Indent and Bombshellzine.com.au, are already presenting Tonight Alive on this years tour, now we’re stoked to be announcing a new and 5th show. Albion Park Centenary Hall will kick start the tour on Friday October 28.
As with all other shows on the tour, Centenary Hall will be staged with the help of young people who will be engaged in all aspects of event management including, promotion, production and booking local support acts to be announced VERY soon.
The 2012 Partnership Grant Applications are now open! Funding teams of young people to stage their own all ages, drug and alcohol free music events throughout NSW. This year the grants saw festivals, band nights, talent competitions, rock the all ages entertainment calender to date!
To be eligible for funding all you have to do is get a team of at least 5 young people (age 12 – 25), a support organisation (like a council, youth centre) and a great idea. There are two categories that you can apply for, but there are conditions on each. For more information head to the grants section of the Indent website here, there are tips to get started as well, the applications and guidelines to each grant.
Today’s tube getting us through the afternoon comes from Sydney pop-punk rockers Tonight Alive. They are about to release their debut album “What are you so scared of” on October 14 (Sony) and touring relentlessly in it’s support – including with Simple Plan on their own headline of major cities and regionally on the Indent tour from October 28 – November 6. Tickets for the regional tour are available here with the tour stopping in at Merimbula, West Wyalong, Cowra and Dubbo.
