Florida’s acoustic roots and melodic rock group Boyce Avenue are also playing at the Enmore this week. The group consists of three brothers who began writing acoustic covers of hits by artists such as Justin Timberlake, Rhianna and Coldplay and posting them on Youtube.

So today was the final day of our tour around regional New South Wales. We finish up in Bega. Until now, I only knew Bega for it’s cheese…mmmm cheese.

Today we embarked on the second week of our tour, which we begin in Kiama. After a 2 hour drive in the sunny morning we arrived at the beautiful beach town and met with the local members of the council and music community. We gained some great  insight into the needs of the locals and it was a great opportunity to meet up with some of the young aspiring talent in the area.

We arrived in sunny Dubbo this morning! Meg is homegrown from the area so were lucky enough to have her show us all the cool local places to hang out. In the afternoon we met some of the students from the local area who were excited to hear about the project.

Outkast’s Big Boi (USA) will be hitting the Enmore Theatre this Saturday August 27.  Last year Grammy award winner Big Boi’s debut solo release Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty was chosen as Triple j’s Album of the Week and after the brief promotional tour he did around Australia last year, he is finally returning, this time with some impressive supports.
