After an early morning two hour car drive through the misty country side, Chris, Meg and I arrived in Cowra. After grabbing a great breakfast at a local cafe, we had the chance to meet up with the local council members, media and arts workers to discuss how the youth music scene was progressing in Cowra. After the informative roundtable meeting we were recommended to eat lunch at a fantastic local cafe called Burp!
I ate the best spud I have had in years. They also have some tasty caramel thickshakes!
After lunch we were lucky enough to meet up with the students from the local highschools in Cowra. They gave us some great insight into how music in consumed in Cowra, the local music hang outs and the best bands and soloists performing around the area. The youth in Cowra were excited about the upcoming tour and we were excited to see how enthusiastic they all were to jump on board!
That evening after Meg, Chris and I checked into a local hotel, we dined out at local pub The Imperial. After taking hours to decide what to eat off their mouthwatering menu, I settled on some local steak. Gooooooood choice.
Tomorrow we head for another three hour drive to Dubbo…stay tuned!
