The Telstra Road to Discovery talent search is on again. This national talent development program travels around Australia each year to uncover independent performers and songwriters from all corners of the country. The program focuses on talent development, mentoring and embraces artists across a diverse range of genres.
The program provides a path to discovery for emerging independent artists passionate about establishing themselves in the Australian music scene. Entries for the Sydney Performance categories have now closed, but the Songwriting Category is still accepting applications, you just have to be over 15 years of age. The winners in both categories be engaged in a 12 month mentorship program with help from the top music industry experts. As well as recording and co-writing opportunities, gigs in Australia, New Zealand and the experience of a lifetime in global ‘music city’ Nashville, USA! The songwriter competition winners will also become a Telstra Ambassador for 12 months, receiving Telstra products and services.
