Waiting For Adam are a spontaniously and psychadelicious funky alternative four piece rock band from Pacific Palms in the spectacular and glorious area of Great Lakes. We have been making people groove and boogie down for a short but adventurous 2 years. We are always annoying joels grandfather who sleeps right next to the jam room (lounge room) by making new and scrumptious music. We are always looking to have a fun time and play as much as we can and enjoy delicious ice cream on sunny afternoons straight after a nice bowl of flap jacks drizzled in a mixture of spicy and succulent toppings.
1. What was the first band you saw live? What’d you learn from them?
Our first artist we saw was xavier rudd. he is an amazing artist who takes pride and passion in his music with a chilled out and relaxed style. We like to have the same approach towards our music, we try not too be serious and just have fun like 4 mates should.
2. What was the first gig you played together? What was it like?
Our first live performance was at a mates party in a huge house in sydney. It was quite nerve racking driving 4 hours not knowing where to go and all of a sudden just pulling out our gear setting up and playing for a room full of party goers of whom we did not know at all. After our first song we were all relaxed and stoked to be there and just wanted to pump out more funkadelic tunes.
3. Got any pre-gig rituals?
Nah theres no pre gig rituals we just rock up, usually late and tell each other to have fun and just go out there and go crazy, like 4 mates should.
4. If you could play with any band/artist, alive or dead and anywhere in the world, who would it be?
Goons of Doom. Because they are a chilled out and layed back kind of band who just make fun songs and sing about random stuff and they would be alot of fun to party with.
5. What are you most excited about, playing the Indent Ten Year Tour?
We were so suprised that we got in but we are stoked and cant wait to get on stage and show everyone our stuff. It will be a good experience to play on a large stage with hopefully a big crowd and we are all looking forward to it.
