Two Bathurst born and bred Mc’s looking to start something in a region that to date has traditionally had little opportunities for Hip Hop Acts to hone their craft. Allow us to introduce jakoby-Y & RB.

Like Dylan said, the times they are a changin’.

United by a common love of Hip Hop during an ill fated stay in a share house, they set about bringing the good times back to the local music scene with tongues set firmly in cheek. Playing a combination of originals, as well classics with a definite jakob-Y & RB twist, delivering their entertaining yet insightful lyrics to the silky talents of B-Dub on the 1′s and 2′s.

Velvet Sand

Velvet Sand is the fusion of two Byron Bay emcee’s, Siege-A & O-G-O, and their highly unorthodox producer, Marz-1.
The trio’s music is described as none other than pure aussie hip hop, straight from the heart, containing steady flows, and consistent rhyming.

“We might be screaming over jazz, and rhyming over flutes” Pretty much sums up the insurmountable entity known as Velvet Sand.
