Peats Ridge is back in style for 2010 and will be opening their doors to artists to apply for a chance to perform. Online artist applications will be open from Monday JUNE 7.
Held over New Years, from DECEMBER 29 to JANUARY 1, in the luscious Glenworth Valley NSW, the 2010 installment of Peats Ridge is sure to amaze and inspire. Encompassing music, art and culture, the Festival is a wealth of fresh and innovative creativity.
Whether you are an up and coming group or a big name act; from the west coast, the east coast of even another land, an online application formn will guarantee a fair selection process in this high profile festival.
MUSIC
Musically, Peats Ridge is open to an eclectic range, from folk to indie, roots to reggae, electronic to funk, world music to hip hop and soul to blues. In past years, many artists have played their first festival show of what becomes an extremely successful career. While other high proifile artists from Australia and overseas have also been accepted through this same application process.
You’ve gotta get your act together NOW, as music applications will only be open for 6 weeks until JULY 19.
ARTS
Peats Ridge Arts and Culture team are looking for bold and captivating artworks and performances that will enhance the festival experience. Preference will be given to engaging works that maybe:
- be site specific or enhance the natural site and festival landscape
- draw attention to issues relating to the environment, lifestyle or culture
- showcase Peats Ridge as presenting innovative works and supporting talented artists
- reference principles of sustainability and support, the Peats Ridge objectives of protection and education about the environment and social change through art.
