Qantas SOYA

The Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards (SOYA), has officially opened registrations to young achievers wanting to boost their careers with a once-in-a-lifetime mentorship and grants program.

Talented Australians aged 30 and under, across seven creative fields- fashion, film, visual arts, visual communications, music, industrial and object design and photography- are invited to submit their best works.

One winner will be selected from each of the seven fields who will be given financial support in the form of $5000 cash and $5000 in Qantas flights, as well as a rare 12-month mentorship opportunity with leading lights of the international creative community.

Helfgott Scholarship

Not to be missed and closing soon are the prestigious David and Gilllian Helfgott Scholarships – each valued at $3,000.

Established by Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium in 1998 as a way of acknowledging the huge input of David and Gillian Helfgott to the musical life of the Coffs Coast, the aim of the scholarships is to foster learning and enjoyment of music. They also provide an opportunity for young musicians to pursue advanced study of a musical instrument or singing.
