triple j have announced the six finalists for the Unearthed High competition.
With two bands having been announced already this Monday morning, May 24 with iotah and Blud- a further four artists and bands have been announced.
The Harry Heart Chrysalis from Bundaberg was described by triple j as having ‘endeared himself to [triple j] with beautiful melodies’ he draws inspiration and influence from Bon Iver.
Glass Towers, a punk band from Byron Bay, bring a raw energy to the competition. Their ‘infectious indie tunes, delivered with a clever mis of shoegaze and punchy pop’ provide a different flavour of music.
Aurora and Daisy, are twin sisters from the sunny Gold Coast who play charming acoustic guitars layered with powerful vocals and a hint of Tegan and Sara.
And finally, but not least, The Living Eyes, described as ‘nailing the 60s rock rival, complete with lo-fi production, raw sounds and a frenetic frontman.’
