Indent’s 2168 series has had a name change- the Youth Underground workshops will now answer all your music business questions and help you get fresh perspectives on the ins and outs of the music industry.
The next workshop topic is on Publicity and Promotion, and we will give you some handy pointers on how to effectively promote your activities- whether you’re in a band, or organising a gig or festival.
A massive congratulations to Powerage from Maitland High School for winning the YouthRock 2010 Grand Final. The guys rocked the stage with all guns blazing- their music was tight, their performance was off the planet and they got the crowd going.
The band were awarded prizes in the ball park of $10000, which included recording studio time, rehearsal studio time, professional photoshoots, CD pressing, equipment for the band, equipment for their school and cash prizes.
