We know how much you love the Minor Chord, and now we'll be serving up a weekly double dose. You'll still be able to read us in the Brag every week- plus
Every Wednesday 5PM (
starting February 10), you'll find delight in listening to us over the radio. FBi Radio (94.5FM) has given us some air space to bring you the latest on the All Ages front- get excited!
We have recruited two budding young reps for The Minor Chord's weekly spot on FBi Radio. Eva and Kate will be taking it in turns to host the 10 minute segment- presenting you with all the goss on young and emerging artists and bands- they'll clue you in on everything All Ages- and they'll get you excited about the music scene in Sydney.
Sharing with us their thoughts on music, we asked them a few questions:
What was the first band you saw live?
Kate- The Basics at Hombake 2006, back when it was still all ages!
Eva- The Wailers (Bob Marley's Band) with my Dad at the Enmore Theatre.
What is your favourite Sydney band?
Kate- Red Riders..
Eva- That's a really hard question- it's like choosing a favourite child. I can't pick one so I'll have to say The Dolly Rocker Movement, Bridezilla, Driftwood Drones, Psychonanny and The Babyshakers, The Laurels, The Red Sun Band and Sister Jane.
Where is the best place to see an all ages gig?
Kate- The Annandale Hotel..
Eva- I really love seeing bands play at the Enmore Theatre- the smell of that sticky floor never leaves you.
What are picks of the summer for ages gigs?
Kate- Big Day Out is a must, The Dead Weather, Phoenix!
Eva- The Brian Jonestown Massacre at The Factory Theatre, I'm counthing down the days.
