Next year, Australia’s premier youth radio broadcaster Triple J will be home to the youngest breakfast radio team in Australia. As Robbie, Marike and The Doctor end their two-year reign of Triple J’s Breakfast Show, Monday 11th January 2010 will see Tom Ballard and Alex Dyson, who are 19 and 21 years old seize the morning airwaves.
Tom and Alex fall right in the middle of the demographic of Triple J’s key audience and are set to bring a fresh, in touch, funny and intelligent take on the breakfast program. Proving passion, talent and a bit of persistence really pay off the duo, who were discovered by a Triple J Program Director at a Comedy Festival in 2006, quickly moved up the ranks at Triple J. Starting work on the graveyard shift (1am-6am) just over a year ago, then moving to Weekend Breakfast, the move to The Breakfast Show is an exciting albeit huge career jump for the pair.
