Want to change the world? Applications close in December.
Do you know any young people who want to change the world? Are they passionate, thoughtful and energetic? The Oaktree Foundations Generate program is accepting applications for 2010.
This is a unique entry- level program, exposing first time volunteers to aid the development sector through active campaigning and lobbying action. The program runs Australia wide from mid-March to mid-October, accepting up to 200 applicants (18-26) a year. It combines goal-based skills training, development education, and active political and community based campaigning.
The Generate program exists to support a participant’s vision for global change, and provide the skills needed to realise that vision.
Extensive skills training is undertaken in:
- Public speaking
- Promotions
- Leadership
- Facilitation and event management
- Lobbying
This is a valuable opportunity to work alongside other talented, creative and dedicated individuals to create new educational opportunities for young people in the developing world.
The Oaktree Foundation is an entirely youth run aid and development agency, working to end extreme poverty by providing educational opportunities for the world’s poorest. Oaktree’s work involves fundraising, advocating for change and training and mobilizing young people to lead the movement against extreme poverty.
