Spitshine is the third album from Urthboy and we are giving you the chance to win a double pass to his All-Ages album launche on October 2nd at the Metro as well as a copy of the album signed by Mr Urthy himself.
Alls ya need to do is hit up meg@musicnsw.com with your interpretation of the title track ‘Spitshine’, the chorus starts like this: “She’ll be fine, she’ll be fine with a little bit of spitshine…” you have to finish the line, the most creative re-interpretation will be font and center in the competition.
Spitshine is an audacious record packed with punch and finise; the beats and vocals swagger with breezy rhythm – allowing Urthboy to blaze a trail across a sunset of slamming drums. There’s defiant optimism about it: everyone’s got a story and no one should stop it being told.
The albums all ages launch is on October 2nd at the Metro and Urthboy will be joined by wonderkids Horrorshow (who will also be launching their brand new album Inside Story on the same night) and Melbourne’s triple j unearthed Polo Club to open the night.
