Save The Loft

The Newcastle City Council’s Sustainability Review has recommended to close the Loft Youth Venue, sell the building and all the assets.

For years The Loft has been the centre of Newcastle’s all-ages music scene: playing host to many bands, Indent workshops, allowing young people to get into a recording studio and providing many other positive art-based opportunities for young people in the area.

The 4 o’clock drop has been hanging around Indent HQ for ages, well before Continential invented the 330 ‘itis. Its that time of day when the end is so close you can taste it but your braincells continue to drop off (namely because you’re coming down from a food high and slipping into a food coma To wake oneself up the Indent crew has for years been dropping, good/entertaining/amazing/funny clips and tracks around the office to make that last morcel of afternoon not drag out too much and like a bandaid is ripped off quick and painless.

And so like everything else in this world we’re making the 4 o’clock drop virtual …oh yeah and sharing our memorable moments with you. There are some bad ones (the 4 o’clock of shame) but generally it’s just good tunes and mad clips we find on the net
