DIGITAL MICRO MOVIE – JULY 2005

A 3 days intensive film-making workshop.
Learn all aspects of video production including scriptwriting, storyboards,

directing, camera operation, lighting, sound + editing!

Participants will shoot with Canon XL1 miniDV cameras in the studio + on

location + edit on Media100 edit suites.

All of the Above is an anthology promoting the work of young artists who are living and creating in Sydney’s sunny South West. This is a great opportunity for you to show off your stuff, get noticed, and maybe get some paid work.

All submissions will include artists contact details, and a short profile. all of the above will be distributed far and wide. It will be a full colour, 80 page book, that tells everyone about the exciting arts culture in Sydney’s south west.

So, if you’re a young artist aged between 12 and 24, living in Campbelltown, Wollondilly, Camden, Liverpool, Fairfield or Bankstown, you need to get your work included in all of the above.  

What we’re after:

TEXT: 150 words
IMAGES: Supplied on CD at 300dpi, no smaller than 15cm wide
SOUND: Complete works or sound samples on CD, no more than five minutes.

52nd Sydney Film Festival Opens Friday!

The Sydney Film Festival is the premiere film event of the year and takes place from 10-25 June.  Each year the festival showcases over 170 of the very best features, documentaries and short films from around the world.

Don’t miss your chance to see the Australian premiere presentation of People on Sunday  – a stunning silent film accompanied by the live fourteen-piece Ensemble Offspring.  Renowned Australian composer Elena Kats Chernin has written a vibrant original score to accompany this 1929 silent German film about four strangers enjoying a lazy lakeside Sunday in Berlin.  Chernin herself describes the score as “a tough of a flirt, a touch of jealousy, a touch of melancholy.” Screens once only on Wednesday, 22nd of June at 8pm at the State Theatre.  Don’t let this groundbreaking Gala Screening event pass you by.
